Great style and detail. A simple background (moutains etc) would make it look even more fantastic and not take away from your subject... or you could crop it

I like this kind of illustration - the white bg works for me, I just like the power of empty space (something I struggle to capture myself so I guess I always admire it in others work). The pencil work is excellent - i really love the warmth of the midtones. Great work.

I love it as is...and disagree with everybody about the background. Maybe it is because I am looking at it from a design perspective. I think that there is power in the empty space. Right now it works on my emotions in a way I cannot quite put my finger on, and I think that might be lost if you add a background. Your figure is grounded already in the little clifflike thing you have, so I would leave it as is. Top marks
